CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:

  • All Exhibits must be bonafide work of Exhibitor, grown by or made by the individual, unless otherwise stated.
  • In Needlework/Handcraft Sections Exhibits must have been finished within last 12 months. They MUST be clean and unwashed.
  • Exhibits are displayed at Owner's risk. The Society will take all care to ensure safety but will not accept responsibility for loss or damage.
  • The Society may refuse Entry of Exhibits if Exhibitors do not adhere to these conditions of entry.
  • Stewards have the power to move any Entry to the correct Class.
  • A Judge may withhold an Award if the standard is not sufficiently high.
  • Prize Money is as stated in the Schedule.
  • Prize Money- A third prize $2 will be paid in Classes with seven (7) or more entries.
  • The JOHN WYETH Perpetual Trophy will be given to the most successful Exhibitor in overall Homecrafts. To qualify, an Exhibitor must have entered in all three (3) categories of Garden, Needlework/Handcraft and Cooking.

HOW TO EXHIBIT:

  • Complete and return Entry Form with Fees.
  • Make cheques or Money Orders, payable to GOLD COAST SHOW SOCIETY INC
  • Closing Date 15th August 2008.
  • DO NOT SEND EXHIBITS BY MAIL
  • Present Exhibits for Needlework and Handcraft to the Stewards on TUESDAY 26th AUGUST BETWEEN 7.30AM and 10.00AM - GOLDSTEINS PAVILION, in Showground. Receipts will be given at that time. Receipts WILL NOT be posted. Exhibits will not be accepted once Judging has commenced.
  • Present exhibits for Garden, Floral Art, Cooking, Baking Mens & Childrens Sections on Wednesday 27th August BETWEEN 7.30 am & 10.00 am at GOLDSTEINS PAVILION in Showground.
  • Receipts will be given at that time. Receipts will not be posted. Exhibits will not be accepted once Judging has commenced.
  • Patchwork & Quilting exhibits to be delivered to Bev Gorry’s Sewing Centre in a clearly marked bag by Tuesday 26th August between 9.00am & 5.00pm,
  • Exhibits MUST be collected on Sunday, 31st August after 5.30pm.
  • Exhibits WILL NOT be ready for collection until Sunday evening.
  • Exhibits MUST NOT be removed from display.
  • To collect Exhibits, present receipts to Steward.
  • Stewards WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE for Exhibits after closing of the Showgrounds on Sunday.

Read Classes carefully. Judging is based exactly on specifications listed.

All entries are subject to the Society By Laws, Regulations and Rules.
