2009 CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:
- All Exhibits must be bonafide work of Exhibitor, grown by or made by the individual, unless otherwise stated.
- In Needlework/Handcraft Sections Exhibits must have been finished within last 12 months. They MUST be clean and unwashed. Space permitting - not all entries will be displayed.
- Exhibits are displayed at Owner's risk. The Society will take all care to ensure safety but will not accept responsibility for loss or damage.
- The Society may refuse Entry of Exhibits if Exhibitors do not adhere to these conditions of entry.
- Stewards have the power to move any Entry to the correct Class.
- A Judge may withhold an Award if the standard is not sufficiently high.
- Prize Money is as stated in the Schedule. The Chief Stewards decision is final
- Prize Money- A third prize $2 will be paid in Classes with four (4) or more entries.
- The JOHN WYETH Perpetual Trophy will be given to the most successful Exhibitor in overall Homecrafts. To qualify, an Exhibitor must have entered in all three (3) categories of Garden, Needlework/Handcraft and Cooking.
The Champion will be determined by the most points accumulated overall. Points are awarded for 1st - 5 points, 2nd - 3 points, 3rd - 1 point. The more classes entered and prizes won give you more points overall. Classes entered are unlimited. OVERALL SECTION CHAMPION is calculated by points awarded for each class within the section being - 1st - 5 points, 2nd - 3 points, 3rd - 1 point.
HOW TO EXHIBIT:
- Complete Entry Form and return to Chief Steward - Deirdre Hipperson - 18 Stretton Dve - Helensvale Q 4212. Please describe exhibit fully ie. colour shape,article etc.
- Closing Date 7th August 2009. No late entries will be accepted. Bookwork finalised at 5.00pm 7th August 2009.
- EXHIBITS ARE NOT REQUIRED UNTIL SPECIFIED DATES. Please bring exhibits in person.
- Tags will be posted to be attached to exhibits. Exhibits will not be accepted once Judging as commenced.
- Present Exhibits with tags attached for Needlework, Handcraft & Scrapbooking (Adults & Children) to the Stewards on TUESDAY 25th AUGUST BETWEEN 7.30AM and 10.00AM - GOLDSTEINS PAVILION, in Showground.
- Present exhibits with tags attached for Garden, Cooking, Baking Mens & Childrens Sections on Thursday 27th August BETWEEN 7.30 am & 10.00 am at GOLDSTEINS PAVILION in Showground & Floral Art to Colin Meagher Pavilion
- Patchwork & Quilting exhibits to be delivered IN A CLEARLY MARKED BAG to Bev Gorry’s Sewing Centre - Shop 1 3 - 5 Classic Way Tree Tops Centre Burleigh Waters by Tuesday 25th August between 9.00am & 5.00pm or to GOLDSTEINS PAVILION between 7.30am & 10.00am on Tuesday 25th August.
- Exhibits MUST be collected on Sunday, 30th August between 5.00 & 7.00pm.
- Exhibits WILL NOT be ready for collection before 5.00pm Sunday.
- Exhibits MUST NOT be removed from display without a Steward in attendance.
- To collect Exhibits, present REGISTRATION FORM- ISSUED BY HOMECRAFT SECTION to Steward.
- Stewards WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE for Exhibits after 7.00pm Sunday and these exhibits will be left unattended in the Pavilion after 7.00pm as there are no storage facilities available.
Read Classes carefully. Judging is based exactly on specifications listed.
All entries are subject to the Society By Laws, Regulations and Rules.
