The Gold Coast Show is celebrating its 111th year and in 2017 is leading the way in the Show Movement by stepping away from the Miss Showgirl Competition and moving with the times to create a more relevant role to represent the Show and the future of the Gold Coast.

The role has been created to ensure the Show movement keeps moving forward and encourages the next generation to be engaged and actively participate in Shows. The Ambassadors will have a strong presence in the community, attending many functions and being spokespeople for the Show.

There are no race, age or gender restrictions; on the contrary, the Gold Coast Show Ambassadors will embody the community spirit and diversity of our vibrant evolving city.

Savannah Tindiglia and Tani Stubbs have been announced as the 2017 Gold Coast Show Ambassadors. They are young leaders in the community who are role models that connect with the Show movement.

Tani Stubbs said she is proud to be leading the way for the next generation of the Gold Coast community and Show movement alongside Savannah Tindiglia.

“The Gold Coast Show is the heart of the community and enables a sense of belonging for all residents,” said Stubbs.

“As a not-for-profit organisation it showcases the variety within the Gold Coast Community by delivering an annual Agricultural Show through continued community engagement.

“This is a very exciting time in the history of the Gold Coast Show.”
